Want to watch Turkish television with a compact dish? A 65 cm dish may be sufficient for Türksat, provided the signal from your preferred channels is strong enough at your location. With the right installation, a large dish is not always necessary.

When is 65 cm enough?

Türksat uses different coverage areas, also known as beams. Türksat 6A is positioned at 42° east and includes a western beam. Check which satellite and beam carry each channel you want to receive.

Türksat’s official table indicates a dish size of approximately 60 cm at a signal level of 50–52 dBW under certain LNB conditions. A dish in the 65 cm class can therefore be a suitable choice where reception is sufficient. This is a guideline, not a guarantee for every channel or every address in the Netherlands.

Have reception assessed before buying

Rain, cable loss and the LNB used affect the required dish size. A larger dish can provide more reception margin. Consider your location and preferred channels before making your choice.
